Objective: To establish a HPLC method for determination of senkyunolide and ligustilide in Chuanxiong Rhizoma and Angelicae Sinensis Radix by QAMS. Method: To measure the correction factor of ligustilide and senkyunolide under different conditions using the butylphalide as the internal reference standard

and the ligustilide and senkyunolide in Chuanxiong Rhizoma and Angelicae Sinensis Radix were determined by the internal reference standard and the relative correction factor. Result: The linear response ranges of butylphalide

senkyunolide and ligustilide were 0.199 4-3.988(r=0.999 9)

0.043 46-0.869 2 (r=0.999 9) and 0.080 67-1.613 4 μg (r=0.999 9) respectively. Relative correction factors of senkyunolide and ligustilide with reference to butylphalide were 0.490 7 and 0.226 3. Conclusion: The internal reference standard is adopted to determine senkyunolide and ligustilide in Chuanxiong Rhizoma and Angelicae Sinensis Radix. This accurate method is available and applied for quality of Chuanxiong Rhizoma and Angelicae Sinensis Radix.
