Objective: To optimize preparation process of Penyankang suppositories and provide a reference for its clinical application. Method: With extracting amounts of chlorogenic acid and salvianolic acid B

forming process of Penyankang suppositories was optimized by single factor tests. Result: Optimum water extraction technology was as follows:extracted two times with eight times the amount of water for one hour each time;extracting amounts of chlorogenic acid and salvianolic acid B were 2.778
30.314 mg·g-1.Optimum ethanol extraction technology was as follows:extracted two times with four times the amount of 60% ethanol for one hour and a half each time;extracting amount of tetrahydropalmatine was 0.758 mg·g-1.Optimized forming process was 36 type of adeps solidus as matrix
