Objective: To provide the scientific basis for the reasonable utilization and development of medicinal plant resources on Puti island. Method: In-depth research on the types

compositions and medicinal values of the medicinal plant resources on Puti island was conducted through field inspection

sample collection

data accessing and samples identification. Result: A total of 51 families 96 genera and 108 species of wild medicinal herbs were found in the study. Among them

the dominant families were Asteraceae

Liliaceae

Labiatae

Asclepiadaceae

Rosaceae

Gramineae

Leguminosae and Brassicaceae

accounting for 47.23% of total medicinal plants on Puti island. The medicinal parts and efficacy of the medicinal plants on Puti island were statistically studied

and the wild medicinal plants with great development values were briefly introduced in this study. Conclusion: Puti island has rich resources of wild medicinal plants

with great value of development and utilization.
