Model Fitting of Moisture Adsorption Process for Bupleuri Radix Extract
Objective: To fit mathematical model for moisture adsorption process of Bupleuri Radix extract. Method: Moisture adsorption kinetics curve
adsorption and desorption isotherms of Bupleuri Radix extract were determined by gravimetric method
and the experimental data were fitted by 1stOpt statistical analysis software.Comparisons were evaluated with the coefficient of determination (R2)
residual sum of squares (RSS) and root mean square error (RMSE) as indexes. Result: The double exponential model was suitable for fitting moisture adsorption kinetics curve
and Peleg model was the best fitted for adsorption and desorption isotherms.The adsorption and desorption isotherms were belong to type Ⅱ behavior
the hysteresis loop was type of H3 and it was elucidated by adsorption-desorption mechanism. Conclusion: The double exponential model and Peleg model are suitable for fitting the moisture adsorption kinetics curve
the adsorption and desorption isotherms
respectively;and the adsorption and desorption isotherms exhibit an obvious hysteresis effect.
