Resümee

Durch die Einsicht in alten Pflanzenbücher, medizinische Schriften, Rezeptschriften und andere Literatur sowie die Kombination mit modernen Forschungsdaten hat der Autor eine systematische Auflistung und Überprüfung der Namensgebung, Herkunft, wissenschaftlichen Namen, medizinischen Bestandteile, Anbaugebiete, Ernte, Verarbeitung, Eigenschaften und medizinischen Anwendungen von Houttuynia cordata durchgeführt, um eine Grundlage für die Entwicklung von klassischen Rezepturen, die Houttuynia cordata enthalten, zu schaffen. In der alten Literatur wurde Houttuynia cordata meist als ji oder Ji-Kraut bezeichnet. Der Name ji taucht erstmals in der Zeit der Han- und Wei-Dynastien im Bencao Gangmu auf, während der Name Houttuynia cordata erstmals im Antiken chinesischen Bencao aus der südlichen Song-Dynastie erwähnt wird und bis heute fortbesteht; die Quellen, die im Laufe der Geschichte verwendet wurden, sind heute und in der Antike ebenso konsistent, alle stammen von der gesamten Pflanze oder den oberirdischen Teilen von Houttuynia cordata aus der Saururaceae-Familie; die Aufzeichnungen der Herkunftsgebiete von Houttuynia cordata sind umfassend in der Geschichte, meist werden sie lokal produziert und konsumiert.
