Nose-to-brain Delivery of Traditional Chinese Medicine Essential Oils for Neurological Disorders: Applications and Molecular Mechanisms
- “The nasal brain pathway is an important delivery shortcut for drugs to cross the blood-brain barrier and directly enter the central nervous system through the unique anatomical structure of the nasal cavity. This article introduces its research progress in the field of targeted delivery of traditional Chinese medicine essential oils to the brain, systematically summarizes the delivery basis, distribution patterns, clinical applications, and molecular mechanisms, and provides theoretical references for the development and formulation innovation of drugs for neurological diseases.”
