Objective:To explore the influence of tannins from Chebulae Fructus on aconitum alkaloids of Aconitum processed with Chebulae Fructus
and analyze the mechanism of how Chebulae Fructus effect on Aconitum kusnezoffii by process. Method: Processing Aconiti Kusnezoffii Ratix with Chebulae Fructus decoctions
pure water and Chebulae Fructus decoctions without tannins. Detecting the concentration of aconitine
hypaconitine
mesaconitine
benzoyl aconine
benzoyl hypaconitine and benzoyl mesaconitine by using HPLC method. Result: The concentration of biester-type aconitum alkaloids: processed with Chebulae Fructus decoctions>processed with pure water>processed with Chebulae Fructus decoctions without tannins. The concentration of monoester-type aconitum alkaloids: processed with Chebulae Fructus decoctions>processed with Chebulae Fructus decoctions without tannins>processed with pure water. Conclusion: Tannins can inhibit alkaloids dissolved out and make it slow to hydrolysis so that reduce the toxic effects.
