malondialdehyde(MDA)

glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)

monoamine oxidase(MAO) and myeloperoxidase(MPO) in the serum and cerebral homogenate. Result: Compared with the sham group

in model group SOD and GSH-Px decreased(P<0.01)

the content of MDA and the activity of MAO and MPO increased(P<0.05).Compared with the model group

SOD and GSH-Px of Yiqi Jiedu groups and positive group were significantly higher(P<0.01)

however MAO

MDA and MPO were decreased (P<0.05

P<0.01). Conclusion: Yiqi Jiedu formula can exert protection antion in focal cerebral ischemia rats

the mechanism may be related to raising efficiency and reducing toxicity.
