Objective: To investigate the ameliorating effect of Didang decoction on hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α) in hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage model rats. Method: Healthy male Sprague-Dawsley rats were randomly allotted to five groups as following: sham operation group
model group
Didang decoction low-dose group
middle-dose group
high-dose group
respectively. The hypertension was reproduced by intraperitoneal injection posterior pituitary injection
and then intracerebral injection autoblood was used to establish cerebral hemorrhage.Didang decoction was continuously treated for 7 days. The HIF-1α was detected by immunohistochemistry
Western blotting
and polymerase chain reaction(PCR). Result: The HIF-1α positive cells
HIF-1α protein content
HIF-1α mRNA expression significantly enhanced in Didang decoction treatment groups
particularly in the low-dose group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Up-regulated the expression of HIF-1α maybe involved in effects of Didang decoction.
