Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of the Aikekang capsule on the infection of Friend leukemia virus in mice. Method:Seventy BALB/c mice were randomly divided into seven groups:normal group
model group
Zidovudine group(0.1 g·kg-1)
Tangcaopian group(3.2 g·kg-1)
Aikekang groups (5
2.5
1.25 g·kg-1). Except for the normal group
the mice in other groups were inoculated intraperitoneally with Friend leukemia virus(FLV) to acquired immuno defiency syndrom (AIDS) model. Twenty-four hours after inoculation
the mice were given corresponding drugs according to the experimental design for 21 days. After treatment
the mice were executed and the effects of the Aikekang capsule on the spleen index
CD4+cells and CD8+cells
CD4+and CD8+T cells were determined. Result:High-dose and middle-dose Aikekang had reduced the spleen index and the percentage of CD4+memory T cell and rised the percentage of CD4+
the ratio of CD4+/CD8+
the percentage of CD4+immature T cell and the percentage of CD8+immature T cell; High-dose Aikekang increased the percentage of CD8+and reduced the percentage of CD8+memory T cell. Conclusion:The Aikekang capsule can enhance the immunity on the infection of Friend leukemia virus in mice.
