Objective:To establish the determination method of quercetin in Chinese patent medicine and health-care product by carbon paste electrode(CPE)anodic adsorptive voltammetry. Method:The CPE was prepared by carbon powder and liquid paraffin(4:1)
in a acetic acid-sodium acetate buffer solution(pH 3.6). Quercetin gives a sensitive adsorptive oxidation peak at 0.401 V(vs. Ag-AgCl). Result:The linear relationship between the peak current and the concentration was found between 3.13×10-7-1.0×10-5mol·L-1 with correlation coefficient of 0.996 0
and the detection limit was 2.1×10-8mol·L-1. The method was applied to the analysis of Chinese patent medicine and health-care product and has achieved good results. Conclusion:The method is accurate and reliable
