Objective:To elplore the effects of the component compatibility of panax notoginseng saponinsn and icariin on promoting the proliferation and calcification of osteoblasts. Method:The third-fifth generation cells were as experimental model
osteoblast density was 1×105/mL
the concentration of Panax notoginseng saponins and icariin was 1
10
20
50 mg·L-1
MTT was applied to determine proliferation of the cell and calcification. Alizarin red staining method was used to observe calcification. Result:Panax notoginseng saponins and icariin in a dose of 10
20
50 mg·L-1 were able to significantly promote the proliferation of osteoblasts. When the component compatibility of panax notoginseng saponinsn and icariin was 5:2
compared with those of control group
the counts of calcified nodules in the group was significantly higher. The component group can promote proliferation of osteoblasts. Conclusion:The component compatibility of panax notoginseng saponinsn and icariin is feasible from the proliferation and calcification of osteoblasts.
