Objective:To investigate the effect of Cinobufagin injection on prevention of recurrence of primary liver cancer with radical resection. Method: Sixty postoperative patients with primary liver cancer were randomly divided into three groups: Cinobufagin group
transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) group and combined treatment group(Cinobufagin+TACE). Each group contained 20 cases. The patients with radical resection after 1 month were given with the corresponding treatment. The life quality
side-effects
survival and recurrence rate in the patients were evaluated. Result: The improvement rates of life quality in Cinobufagin group and combined treatment group were 55.0% and 50.0%
respectively
which were obviously higher than that of TACE group (30.0%
P<0.05). The patients in Cinobufagin group showed the slight side-effects. The over-24-month survival rates of Cinobufagin group and combined treatment group were 75.0% and 70.0%
respectively
which were significantly higher than that of TACE group (60.0%
P<0.05). The over-24-month recurrence rates of three groups showed no difference statistically. Conclusion: Cinobufagin injection is an effective medicine for prevention of recurrence of primary liver cancer with radical resection
