Objective: To study the chemical constituents of the chloroform portion of Incarvillea arguta. Method: The chloroform portion were isolated and pured by silica gel column chromatography

HP-20 and Sephadex LH-20.Their chemical structures were elucidated by spectral data(1H-NMR

13C-NMR). Result: Five compounds were isolated from the chloroform portion.They were identified as evofolin B( 1 )

7-dioxa-bicyclo-[3.3.0]-octane( 3 )

N-trans-feruloyl tyramine( 4 )

lysicamine( 5 ). Conclusion: All compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time.
