Objective: To study the chemical constituents of the effective proportion of Psammosilene tunicoides. Method: The chemical constituents were isolated by column chromatography

and the structures were established on the basis of spectroscopic studies. Result: Seven compounds were obtained

and five of them were identified as 16-isoquillaic acid ( 1 )

gypsogenin ( 2 )

α-spinasterol-3-O-β-D-glucoside ( 3 )

α-spinasterol ( 4 )

daucosterol ( 5 ). Conclusion: Compound 1-3 were isolated from this plant for the first time as natural products.
