To investigate the rules and characteristics of prescriptions used by Pro.YAN Zheng-hua to treat digestive diseases. Prescriptions used to treat digestive diseases between 2009 and 2010 were searched. 253 cases were analysed by datamining and statistic method. In this study
there were ten herbs frequency of which in prescriptions was more than 40%
such as orange peel
tuckahoe
Shenqu
red peony root
white peony root
Fructus aurantii
white atractylodes rhizome
Cyperus
Amomum villosum
bergamot. In the 74 herbs(frequency more than 5%)
the warm-hot herbs accounted for 40%
the cold herbs accounted for 32.86%
sweet
bitter herbs each accounted for 50%
pungent herbs accounted for 41.89%;herbs belonging to spleen accounted for 50%
herbs belonging to stomach accounted for 48.65%
herbs belonging to liver accounted for 44.59%.Professor YAN Zheng-hua believed that soothing the liver and regulating Qi
regulating spleen and stomach could be the basic therapy principle for digestive diseases.
