Objective: To observe the clinical efficiency of traditional Chinese medicine with activating blood circulation and norishing Yin in treatment of female chloasma. Method: Two hundred and twenty patients were randomly divided into control group and the treatment group. 110 patients in treatment group was treated by Taohong Siwu and Liuwei Dihuang decoction with 3% topical hydroquinone cream; 110 cases in control group were treated by western medicine vitamin C and E. with 3% topical hydroquinone cream. Treatment lasted 2 months. Result: The cure rate in treatment group was 37 cases

The total effective rate in was 93.6% and 56.4%

in treatment and control group

respectively. There was significant difference between the two groups. Conclusion: Traditional Chinese medicine treatment with activating blood circulation and norishing Yin in treatment of female chloasma is an effective prescription.
