Abstract
Objective: To establish a method for determination of Anabasine in Radix Alangii Preparata by HPLC. Method: The chromatographic column was Alltech Apollo C18 (4.6 mm×250 mm
5 μm)
acetonitrile-buffer (0.2 g heptane sulfonate
3.5 g potassium dihydrogen phosphate volume to 1 000 mL)(9 ∶91) as mobile phase
flow rate 1.0 mL ·min-1;detection wavelength was at 259 nm;column temperature was at 30 ℃. Result: Maple octagonal base was linear in range of 0.024 95-0.499 g ·L-1 (r=0.999 9
n=5). The average recovery was 98.73% (n=6)
RSD 0.915%. Conclusion: The method is simple

and can be used as the system in the Radix Alangii Preparata method for the determination of Anabasine to control the quality of Radix Alangii Preparata.
