Objective: To observe the effect of the Shenfu Yixin Granule on chronic heart failure rats. Method: The chronic heart failure model was established by left anterior descending coronary artery occlusion.in sham operation group (n=20) the sutures were passed under the left anterior descending coronary artery without ligation.After 8 weeks the chronic heart failure rats with the value of left ventricle ejection fraction(LVEF) <50% were randomly assigned to 5 groups (n=10 in each group):model group

losartan group

two groups of Shenfu Yixin Granule(5.475

21.9 g ·kg-1 ·d-1).All the medicine was given through gavage once a day for 4 weeks

the rats in model group and sham operation group were administered with equivalent water once a day for 4 weeks.After 4 weeks The LVEF was valued again with Color Doppler Ultrasound

Weighs were measured.The blood was collected to detection index. Result: Shenfu Yixin granule(21.9 g ·kg-1 ·d-1) improved the LVEF obviously

lowered the left ventricular mass index(LVMI) serum ANP and

serum BNP. Conclusion: Shenfu Yixin granule can cure chronic heart failure evidently and may intervene ventricular remodeling.
