peripheral blood TNF-α level and gene polymorphism were also determined. Result :TNF-α in peripheral blood was significantly higher (P<0.05) in observation group. After PCR amplification

TNF-α gene fragment of the size of 117b was found; The control group no specific amplification products. PCR/RFLP analysis showed that Group 2 TNF-α gene had three kinds of restriction patterns

i.e. TNFα-308A/A homozygous without digestion

TNFct-308G/G homozygotes with completed digestion and TNFα-308G/A heterozygote produces with partial digestion. Had genotype frequencies from the high to the generation were in the order of G/G type

G/A-type

A/A type. But the two groups had significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion : TNF-α and the incidence of uveitis are correlated.
