Objective: Lignan ingredients from Mystica argentea were analyzed to provide the basis for the quality evaluation. Method: Aglient TC-C18 column (4.6 mm×150 mm
5 μm) was used in high performance liquid chromatograph
acetonitrile: triethylamine phosphate (55 ∶45) was used as mobile phase. The column temperature was set at 40 ℃ and the detection wavelength was at 270 nm. Result: Meso-dihydro-nor dihyoguaiaretic acid was linear in the range of 0.286 0-1.716 0 μg(r=0.999 8)
the average content of meso-dihydro-nordihyoguaiaretic acid from M. argentea was 0.833 7 mg ·g-1; erythro-1-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-4-(3
4-methylenedioxy phenyl)-2
3-dimethy l butan was linear in the range of 0.320-1.920 μg (r=0.999 8)
the average content of erythro-1-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-4-(3
4-methylenedioxy phenyl)-2
3-dimethy l butan from M. argentea was 0.572 4 mg ·g-1. Conclution: The method for determination of lignan ingredients from M. argentea by HPLC was useful and feasible.
