Objective: To study the hypoglycemic effect of Dahuang Zhechong Pill on alloxan-induced diabetic mice. Methods: We made up animal models of diabetic mice by intraperitoneal injection of 90 mg·kg-1 alloxan

thymus were reduced after the models made up by introperitoneal injecting alloxan(90 mg·kg-1)on mice. Dahuang Zhechong Pill could reduce the level of blood glucose

glycated hemoglobin

increase level of high-density lipoprotein and improved the weight loss of the alloxan-induced diabetic mice

and increase the weights of spleen and thymus of immune organs. Conclusion: Dahuang Zhechong Pill has hypoglycemic effect on diabetic mice.
