Objective: To investigate the effects of the flavonoids of Sarcand glabrain(ZJF-HT) on the expansion of mature megakaryocytes and CFU-Meg in vitro. Methods: Megakaryocytes and megakaryocyte progenitor cells were cultured in liquid and semi-solid colony culture systems respectively. The effects of ZJF-HT and ZJF-HT serum on the expansion of mature megakaryocytes and CFU-Meg were observed. Results: ZJF-HT
up to 125 μg·mL-1
could increase the number of mature megakaryocytes and CFU-Meg compared with model group (P<0.05). ZJF-HT serum could significantly increase the number of mature megakaryocytes over the range of 0.39%~6.25% and also significantly promote the formation of CFU-Meg over the range of 0.20%~6.25%(compared with model group
P<0.01). Conclusions: Both ZJF-HT and ZJF-HT serum can promote the expansion of mature megakaryocytes and CFU-Meg.
