The content of emodin and chrysophanol in Shexiang Niuhuang pill was determined by HPLC

The separation was performed on Kromasil ODS column with methanol -0.1% phosphoric acid (75 ∶25) as mobile phase; The UV detector was set at 254 nm. Result :The spots in the TLC were clear and identified without the interference of negative control. The linear range of Emodin was 0.0418-0.2090 μg

and which of Chrysophanol was 0.0759-0.3792 μg(r=0.9999). Conclusion :The average recovery of Emodin was 99.63% with RSD of 2.94%(n=6)

and which of Chrysophanol was 99.63% with RSD of 1.83%(n=6).
