Objective:To study the effect of Xinshi Injection (XSI) on cerebral blood flow (CBF)
cerebrovascular resistance (CVR)
concentration of SOD
MDA and NO of brain tissue in anesthetized dogs. Methods: Healthy dogs were divided into normal sodium (NS) control group
Danshen injection group and XSI high dose group (4 g·kg-1)
middle dose group(2 g·kg-1) and low dose group (1 g·kg-1). After anesthetized by 3% carbrital
the femoral vein of left lower extremity (LLE) was separated to iv XSI; the left common carotid artery was separated to measure the blood flow of internal carotid artery; the femoral artery of LLE was separated to determine mean arterial blood pressure
then the CBF and CVR were calculated. The concentration of SOD
MDA and NO were measured by kits respectively. Results: XSI increased the blood flow in brain tissue and decreased CVR significantly. It also increased concentration of SOD and decreased concentration of MDA and NO in the brain tissue. Conclusion: XSI can improve blood flow of dog's brain and dilate cerebral vessels of dog.
