Abstract

The vascular stenosis induced by injury is the common pathological changes of many cardiovascular diseases

which remains the major barrier to the advancement of medical treatment.Recent studies show that the adventitial fibroblasts play an important role in vascular stenosis.This review summarizes the functional and structural behaviors of the cells in the progress

including cell proliferation

migration

matrix protein production

generation of cytokines and enzymes.
