Objective:To observe the effect of Sheng-Jiang Capsule on treating cisplatin-induced pigeon's vomiting

and explore the functional mechanism in preventing and treating vomiting.Method:The test was designed to make animal models by injecting the chemical medicine cisplatin in pigeon's abdomen

observing the vomiting times and delitescence

and measuring the levels of 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)in pigeon's blood and duodenum tissue by high performance liquid chromatography with electrochemical detection(HPLC-ED).Result:Sheng-Jiang Capsule can obviously decrease the vomiting times and delay the vomiting delitescence of the pigeons

the 5-HT contents of blood and duodenum tissue in the groups of Sheng-Jiang Capsule are markedly lower than that of model group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Possible mechanism of Sheng-Jiang Capsule is to decrease the level of 5-HT.
