Objective:To observe the effect of non-heating leech extract on coagulation system and platelet aggregation in the model of blood hypercoagulable state induced by ellagic acid in mice and rats. Methods:The model of blood hypercoagulable state was established by intravenous injection of ellagic acid in mice and rats.Bleeding time(BT)
clotting time(CT)
prothrombin time(PT)
active part thrombin time(APTT)
activity of coagulation factor Ⅱ and platelet aggregation were examined to observe the effect of non-heating leech extract on coagulation system and platelet aggregation after oral administration.Results:Non-heating leech extract was able to prolong BT and CT in the model mice
PT and APTT in the model rats and to decrease activity of coagulation factor Ⅱ and platelet aggregation in the model rats.Conclusion:Non-heating leech extract produces anticoagulant and antiplatelet aggregation actions in the animal model of blood hypercoagulable state.
