the levels of serum TC

TG and LDL-C were lower than those in the hyperlipidemic group

while serum HDL-C was increased.The serum ALT and AST levels in semen astragali complanati extract groups were lower than those in liver-injured group as well.Conclusion:Semen astragali complanati extract A and B possessed the obvious lipid-modifying and liver-protective effects

and the effects of both extracts were basically similar.
