Objective: To establish the HPLC fingerprint of essential oil from different batches of Angelicae Sinensis Radix and Aurantii Fructus extracted with supercritical CO2 fluid mixing extraction
and to evaluate and control the quality of it. Method: The analytical column was a Hypersil ODS2 C18 (4.6 mm×250 mm
5 μm); a mixture of acetonitrile-water was used as the mobile phase with gradient elution. Flow rate was 1 mL·min-1 wavelength was set at 283 nm. Column temperature was maintained at 30 ℃. Result: The fingerprint of essential oil from Angelicae Sinensis Radix and Aurantii Fructus obtained by mixing extraction was established. The ligustilide peak was taken as the reference peak. Thirteen common peaks were assigned
and two peaks were confirmed by comparing with reference standards. The fingerprint of essential oil obtained by steam distillation can be identified. Conclusion: The method could be used for the quality control of essential oil from Angelicae Sinensis Radix and aurantii fructus obtained by mixing extraction accurately and reliably.
