Objective: To establish a HPLC method for the content determination of vitexin

lsovitexin and narcissin in extract of Microcos paniculata. Method: Waters XbridgeTM C18 (4.6 mm×250 mm

5 μm) was used with a step gradient of methanol-1%phosphoric acid at a flow rate of 0.8 mL·min-1.The detection wavelength was set at 320 nm

and the column temperature was at 25 ℃. Result: There was good linear relationship in the range of 8.152-29.79 mg·L-1 forvitexin

8.208-28.73 mg·L-1 forlsovitexin and 41.60-145.6 mg·L-1 for narcissin.The average recoveries of vitexin

lsovitexinand narcissinwere 96.30%

97.32%and 102.22% respectively. Conclusion: This method is simple

accurate and can be used for quality control of extract of M.paniculata.
