Objective: To investigate the therapeutic effect of Chuanping compound on guinea pigs with asthma. Method: All guinea pigs were given intraperitoneal injection of ovalbumin(OVA)and forced inhalation of atomized OVA to induce asthma. From the 14th day of modeling
the treatment groups were given the corresponding drugs according to the experimental design
ephedra groups (0.20 g·kg-1)
datura flower group (0.07 g·kg-1)
Chuanping compound group (0.32 g·kg-1)
dexamethasone group (7.5×10-4 mg·kg-1)
and the normal group and model group were given normal saline(NS)
once a day for 7 days. The general state of the guinea pigs and the changes of immunoglobulin E(IgE);transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-β1) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF)were observed. Result: The levels of IgE
TGF-β1 and TNF-α in BALF of guinea pigs: normal group IgE(68.25±5.92) mg·L-1
