Objective: To determine of the contents of β-phenylethyl cinnamate in Illigera aromatic from different collection periods

to discover the inherent rule about the content change of different collection periods. Method: Using Ultimate C18(4.6 mm×250 mm

5 μm) 0.1% the phosphate buffer solution-acetonitrile(37:63) as mobile phase

the column temperature was at 30℃

the flow rate 1.0 mL·min-1 and detection wavelength was 280 nm. Result: The content of β-phenylethyl cinnamate varied in different collection periods

with the highest point in August and January. Conclusion: This method has good sensitivity

precision and simplicity

offers the basis of controlling the quality of I. aromatic and the realization of good agricultural practice.
