the first rat febrile models was induced by injecting lipopolysaccharide(LPS
20 μg·kg-1) intraperitonealy and treating with five parts from Baihu Chengqi Tang (18.6 g·kg-1) after two hours. The second rat febrile models were induced by injecting 20% fresh yeast subcutaneously 10 mL·kg-1 and treating with five parts from Baihu Chengqi Tang after two hours. Then the rectal temperature was monitored to show the differences of effect from those groups. Result: Butanol and water fractions could reduce the rectal temperature of the rat febrile models(P<0.05);essential oil and petroleum ether and ethyl acetate fractions could not reduce the rectal temperature of the rat febrile models. Conclusion: The results show that essential oil and petroleum ether and ethyl acetate fractions were invalid
butanol and water fractions were the effective of Baihu Chengqi Tang for antipyretic effect.
