Objective: Through the systematic collection of ancient and modern drugs in treatment of ulcerative colitis to summarize the ancient and modern used effective drugs and analysis of medicine laws including compare drug trends between ancient and modern medicine. Method: The ancient and modern prescriptions were collected and SPSS 11.5 statistics software was applied to establish a database
so as to summarize medicine laws depending on correlation analysis
frequency analysis and cluster analysis as well as difference between ancient and modern medicine made by student t test. Result: A total of 461 the ancient prescription and 286 the modern prescription collected. Licorice

Conclusion: The ancient prescriptions are applied to supplement Qi and blood
