Objective: To explore protective effect and mechanism of Shengmai injections combined with Danshen injection on viral myocarditis in children. Method: One hundred and eight-nine cases with viral myocarditis were divided into two group randomly
the cases in control group were treated by conventional therapy while cases in treatment group were treated with Shengmai injections combined with Danshen at the base of conventional therapy
nitric oxide (NO) and activity of myocardial enzyme
superoxide dismutase(SOD)
glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px)were measured at treatment before and after. Result: The level of IL-6
MIF
TNF-α
IFN-γ
MDA
NO in both groups decreased significantly(P<0.05 or P<0.01)
activity of myocardial enzyme in both groups decreased significantly and activity of SOD
GSH-Px in both groups increased significantly after treatment(P<0.05-P<0.01)
indices change in treatment group was significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: The treatment of Shengmai injections combined with Danshen Injection can inhibit inflammatory reaction and enhance myocardial free radical scavenging to reduce myocardial damage.
