Objective: To observate the effect of Kangxian Yixin formula in treating patients with dilated cardiomy opathy(DCM). Method: Eighty-five cases were randomly divided into a treatment group(43 cases)treated with the routine western medicine plus Kangxian Yixin formula(one dose daily)

a control group(42 cases) treated with the routine western medicine. Then the changes of the syndrome and cardiac fuction were observed after 6 months. Result: The therapeutic effect of cardiac fuction

TCM syndrome and syndrome integral were better in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Kangxian Yixin foumula can improve the clinical symptoms and promote cardiac function of the patients with DCM.
