Objective: To establish HPLC fingerprint of P. trichosanthis. Method: The HPLC method was used on an Agilent TC-C18 (4.6 mm×250 mm
5 μm) chromatographic column with acetonitrile-0.2% ice acetic acid as mobile phase in gradient elution at the detection wavelength of 260 nm with the flow rate of 0.8 mL·min-1
and the column temperature was 25℃
the sample injection was 20 μL. Result: The HPLC fingerprint of P. trichosanthis was established. The methodological investigation result was good. 13 common peaks were existed in the fingerprint and five common peaks were confirmed. The similarities of 10 batches of P. trichosanthis are greater than 0.9. Conclusion: The method is stable
and the established fingerprint can provide a basis for quality evaluation of P. trichosanthis.
