Objective: To conduct serum pharmacochemistry study on extract in Shuxiong Tablets. Method: HPLC research on the serum fingerprints chromatograms of Shuxiong tablet extract was based on blood serum chemical pharmacy:After SD rats were administrated by gavage
samples were taken respectively after certain periods and measures were made on serum chromatograms of both mixed extracts and each single extract
then analysis is made. An HPLC method was adopted with column Kromasil C18(4.60 mm×200 mm
5 μm ).The mobile phase was consisted of 0.05%phosphoric acid-water-acetonitrilegradient elution. The flow velocity was 1.0 mL·min-1. The detection wavelength was at 203 nm. Result: Fifteen components were detected in the fingerprint serum
4 come from the original compound and their metabolites. The 6 known major components of Shuxiong tablet (ligustazine
hydroxysafflor yellow A
ferulic acid
notoginsenoside R1
ginsenoside Rg1
ginsenoside Rb1) which showed that they were elements in the blood. The serum chromatograms of Shuxiong tablet were established on the basis of serum HPLC fingerprint chromatograms and compound HPLC fingerprint chromatograms. Conclusion: The measure of HPLC fingerprint chromatograms is simple and reproducible
and the fingerprint chromatograms can reflect multi-ingredients in the Shuxiong tablet

this study provides a reliable method for the effective quality control of Shuxiong tablet
