Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Tongmai Huazhuo decoction in treating phlegm and blood stasis mutual junction coronary heart disease. Method: One hundred and twenty patients with phlegm and blood stasis mutual junction coronary heart disease were divided into three groups

namely western medicine group (routine treatment which includes Isosorbide dinitrate and Aspirin)

traditional Chinese medicine 1 group(treatment of western medicine and Tongmai Huazhuo decoction)

traditional Chinese medicine 2 group(treatment of western medcine

Gualou Xiebai Guizhi decoction and Xuefu Zhuyu decoction).The curative effect was observed after 4 weeks. Result: The syndrome efficacy rate of both traditional Chinese medicine 1 group and 2 group was apparently higher than that in western medicine group(P<0.05).Indexes of triglycerides(TC)

low-density-lipoprotein-C(LDL-C)

apolipoprotein B100(ApoB100)

lipoprotein α[LP(α)] of the two traditional Chinese groups were significantly lower than those of western medicine group(P<0.05)

and high-density lipoprotein-C(HDL-C)

ApoA1 was higher than that of western medicine group(P<0.05)

but there were no differences between traditional Chinese medicine 1 group and traditional Chinese medicine 2 group. Conclusion: Tongmai Huazhuo decoction has a obvious effect in treatment of phlegm and blood stasis mutual junction coronary heart disease.
