Objective:To observe the protective effect of(-)-Catechin gallate and(+)-Epicatechin on Xanthine-Xanthine Oxidase System injury in cultured cardiomyocytes.Methods:The injury model of cultured neonatal rat cardiomyocytes was induced by Xanthine-Xanthine Oxidase System.Cell proliferation was detected by MTT assay
lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) activity
Maleic Dialdehyde(MDA) and Superoxide Dismutase(SOD) level in supernatant were measured with colorimetric assay.Results:Compared with model group
(-)-CG
(+)-EC can obviously increase survival rate of cardiomyocytes
decrease LDH activity and MDA level
increase SOD level in supernatant.Conclusion:(-)-CG、(+)-EC can protect cultured cardiomyocytes against Xanthine-Xanthine Oxidase System damage.
