Objective:To investigate the protective effects of Gankang on D-galactosamine-induced liver injury and study its possible mechanism. Methods:The model of chemical injury in liver of mouse was prepared. The level of alanine aminotransferase(ALT)
aspartate aminotransferase(AST) in serum
malondiadehyde(MDA)content
nitric oxide(NO)in liver homogenate were assayed by spectrophotometer.Results:Gankang(200
400
800mg·kg
-1
)significantly decreased the levels of serum transaminase(ALT
AST)
liver index and spleen index.Furthermore
Gankang also decreased MDA and NO level in liver homogenate. Conclusion:Gankang possesses protective action on chemical injury in liver of mice
which is related to its mechanism of ressistance to the liver cell oxidation.
