ISSR molecular markers were used to detect genetic diversity of licorice including 155 individuals from 4 Geo-Authentic Product Areas.Fifty-six polymorphic bands were obtained by 8 primers
accounting for 75.68% of the total
the percentage of polymorphic bands(PPB) of each primer was from 44.44% to 100%.Groups cluster analysis indicated that the wild licorice from each area could be clustered into one group
the individuals from Neimenggu
Ningxia and Gansu had apparent genetic characters
while the ones from Shaanxi had a genetic variation in regional pattern. The genetic variation of licorice from different Geo-Authentic Product Areas was regional
which laid the foundation for the formation of genuine medicinal herbs.
