A large number of studies have found that some single Chinese herb effective components of traditional Chinese medicine or Chinese herbal compound can improve the micro-environment of axonal injury with lack of neurotrophin factors(NTFs)
enhance the expression of regeneration-related protein
promote neural stem cells(NSC) to differentiate into neurons
which contributes to the regeneration of axons. However
currently the researches on traditional Chinese medicine for improving central neural regeneration focus mainly on neurological damage induced by cerebral hypoxia-ischemia
and the mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine on central neural regeneration is not extensively studied yet.So
the mechanisms concerning traditional Chinese medicine on central neural regeneration should be studied systematically in the future
to provide an objective basis for its clinical application.
