Objective:To establish a high performance capillary electrophoresis(HPCE) method for the de-termination of hesperidin
glycyrrhizic acid and glycyrrhetinic acid in Erchen Tang.Method:Fused silica capillary coated(50 μm × 95 cm) with detection window at 86.5 cm from anode was employed and 50 mmol.L-1 borax solu-tion(10% acetonitrile
pH 9.28) served as the running buffer.Other conditions were as follows:electrokinetic in-jection 20 s.analytical voltage 24 kV
detection wavelength 254 nm and temperature 20 ℃.Result:The linearity of hesperidin was in the range of 0.10-2.40 g.L-1(r = 0.999 4)
the average recovery was 98.17% and RSD1.49%.The linearity of glycyrrhizic acid was in the range of 0.04-0.72 g.L-1(r = 0.999 4)
the average recovery was 98.72% and RSD 2.95%.The linearity of glycyrrhetinic acid was in the range of 0.01-0.18 g.L-1(r = 0.999 6)
the average recovery was 98.48% and RSD 2.25%.Conclusion:The method is rapid
simple and accurate and it provides the basis of the fingerprints of CE and composite herbal medicines.
