Objective:Study the optimum condition of extraction of licorice flavonoids from licorice waste residue and explore the feasibility of development and utilization of licorice waste residue.Method:Organic solvent extraction
ultrasonic-assisted organic solvent extraction
basic solvents extraction and ultrasonic-assisted basic solvent extraction were used to extract licorice flavonoids from licorice waste residue.Optimum condition for extraction was selected with theorthogonal design
using the yield
content and α-glucosidase inhibitory activity of licorice flavonoids from all extracts as the evaluating criteria.Result: The optimum extracting condition with ultrasonic-assisted organic solvent extraction method was that the ethanol concentration was 65%
ratio of material to solvent was 1∶ 12
extraction time was 1.5 h
and extraction temperature was at 75 ℃.Conclusion:The development and utilization of extracting licorice flavonoids from licorice waste residue was feasible with good social and economic benefits.
