Objective:This investigation was performed to develop a method to prepare liquiritigenin using acid hydrolysis.Method: Preliminary test was performed to see if purified liquiritin can be converted into liquiritigenin by acid hydrolysis
then liquiritin from Glycyrrhiza uralensis was converted into liquiritigenin use the same method.TLC
UV and HPLC were used to judge feasibility of this method.Result:The conversion rate of the purified liquiritin was 81.1%
and the conversion rate of the liquiritin from G.uralensis was 63.2%.Conclusion: This method is feasible
