Objective: To study the intestine absorption of salvianolic acid B.Method: The isolated everted intestine model was used to study the absorption in different regions of rat intestine(duodenum
jejunum
ileum and colon).The sample was determined with HPLC in combination with ultraviolet detector.Result: The intestine absorption rate constant increased along with the increase in concentration of salvianolic acid B.The absorption rate had no significant difference between different regions of the intestine.Conclusion: The absorption of salvianolic acid B by intestine appears to be a passive diffusion process and it does not contain a special absorption window..
