Objective:To investigate studying the effect of Qingzhuo Anzhong decoction on cyclooxygenase-2（COX-2） in rat model with splenogastric hygropyrexia syndrome（SHS） of chronic gastritis.Method: The SHS and damp-heat syndrome modes were manufactured by 2%sodium salicylate and artificial climate box and Qingzhuo Anzhong decotion.The inflammation situation of gastric mucosa were observed by using gastroscope and common pathological staining method.The protein expression of gastric mucosa COX-2 was detected by immunohisochemistry.Result: The gastritis damp-heat syndrome rats model appeared symptom

by comparing with the normal group

the difference is significant（P<0.05）.SHS group’ COX-2 protein expresses strongly is splenic asthenia group and the normal group（P<0.05）.The inflammation degree and COX-2 protein expression appears positive correlation（P<0.01）.Qingzhuo Anzhong decotion can improve above-mentioned condition after applying it.Conclusion: Rat model consistents with attribute to SHS.Adjusting COX-2 protein expresses may be one of mechanism of action on treating SHS with Qingzhuo Anzhong decotion.
