Objective: To study the volatile constituents in male flower of Cucurbita moschata.Method: The volatiles were analyzed by head-space solid micro-extraction
coupled with GC-MS and Kovats indices.A quantitative analysis in percent was performed by peak area normalization measurements.Result: Fifty-nine compounds were identified in Jingou accounting for 90.99% of the total volatiles.Conclusion: α-bergamotene(21.71%) was the highest.The study can provide scientific basis for the further development of the seeds of C.moschata.
